School Objectives & Directions

Al Faruq Islamic School draws guidance from the Qur'an (the holy book of Islam) and the Sunnah (the traditions) of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The objectives of the school are:

To offer a comprehensive educational program that empowers all students to attain their highest potential within the framework of the Alberta Curriculum.

To nurture a strong sense of Muslim identity within the diverse Canadian societal context.

To instruct and promote Islamic Studies, the Holy Qur’an, and the Arabic language as foundational subjects.
